My son broke his femur bone when he was age 12. It healed but he developed nerve damage. Over the counter drugs do not help and he does not like to take medicine. Most of the time he can deal with it but has days that he can hardly walk and my heart goes out to him. I took him to the Dr. who ran test but said they couldn't find anything wrong. He refuses to go back to Dr. because he says there is nothing they can do for nerve damage, he is now age 24.
Also, two weeks after he broke his femur bone he began having a serious sleep paralysis disorder and it has gotten worse through the years. He cannot have an outside job because he is never fully rested. He has 4 or 5 of the sleep paralysis episodes during each sleep cycle, and is on an erratic sleep schedule. The neurologist he has seen in the past think it's all in his head because apparently, they had no idea how to treat this. It is not one of the regular sleep disorders, we have ruled all those out.
I know I'm asking about two different things but maybe someone can finally help my son. He doesn't drive or have any social outlet. He works from home on his computer as a graphic designer. He is very smart and good looking and I'd like a a better life for him, I just want him to get some help and get well.
