Hi i am 32 years old one month ago i had a severe pain in my left skull base (area connecting the neck) accompanied by ear fullnes and weird pain, titinus started shortly and the severe pain had increased, the noise goes load till now there is no releif specially that i went to the doctor and said its Ménière's disease and gave me :Esidrex 25mg, Betaserc, 24mg, proxen 500mg,i did an MRI for my head that resulted ok and made a hearing test that resulted in 50% loss of the hearing of my left ear.

The pain is like a line of fire from my neck up to my upper left skull that comes in form of sudden attacks and reliefs later but ear nose is always there.

i had herpes zoster on my left arm 2 years ago and have type 2 herpes simplex that i am really afraid they might be the cause, well i took Famvire for my zoster case and it disapeared...

i am so confused since i made blood tests and HIV test and everything resulted ok all doctors that i saw say i am fine but i am not this weird pain from time to time and the on-going humming still persist till now...
can anyone advice please

  • You might want to look at B12 as tinnitus is a symptom of B12 deficiency. There is a very useful thread here, just google "Active B12 Basics" to find it.
