  • Definitely get a second opinion! You may want to consider asking the second doctor to have your hormone levels checked. the hair growth and lack of periods can be attributed to a testosterone increase. The lower back pain may or may not be a part of it. It happened to a friend after her 4th D&C (all miscarriages), and she was found to have had an increase in testosterone level for some reason. please help its driving me mad now. i had my seventh child by c section 2 and a half years ago followed by 2 dnc due to problems after birth. but since then i have had no period the doctor has done blood tests for over and under active thyroid womens hormone levels and full blood count and he said that they come back normal. my doctor does not seem to think that it is a problem!!!! but i do 2 and a half years without a period is a long time especialy when my periods have always beed as regular as clock work from my very first 1. i have noticed some hairs growing on my chin and around my nipples i also suffer bouts of lower back pain please help should i TELL my doctor i want further tests done as i am not happy with his attitude towards my problem and he has not offered any further tests many thanks
