My husband and I were told 5 days ago he was in final stage liver failure, yes he is a drinker, maybe a liter everyother day of vodka,he is not gonna quit,he tried last year, the dts almost killed him.He has the fluid in his stomach, decreased urine output for a day or two,and then he will pee again sometimes 3 times a day, most when he is battling diarriha, which looks like coffe grounds has been poured in the toilet.I feel so lost, and out of control,I know what other signs they are to come,I just dont know when,I think ok,six months, then he gets really sick somedays, and then I think, wait ***n it,you said six months.....I want my six months,he is still drinking almost constantly,do I still have another six months with him, with the way hes going,or do I have less? His legs hurt all the time to and his back, and the upper right side.He hasnt gotten any sign of jaundice though,is it true he may not show that and still get sicker, without anymore signs or systoms? Please someone write me and let me know what to expect,Ive read all those sad comments on here about liver failure, dont think my husband is that far gone yet,I have to ask the doctor thursday, how many more % he has of his liver,I know its bad if its 80 to 90%.Please god dont let it be that, but then my mind says it has to be for the doctor to tell us 6 months maybe 4.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
