I have struggled with this problem for a few years and it was no longer every few months but constantly and it got to the point that antibiotics weren't helping. My mouth and tongue was sore alot too. I was desperated and began to really pray about the cause. Well, after three instances in one week the word "salt" went through my mind. I immediately went on a very, very low sodium diet (it was really hard) but within 3 days the itching stopped, within 10 days the fluid in my ears disappeared and my sinus improved. My doctor was amazed when I told her and said she never would have thought of sodium as the cause. Just read the labels! I discovered low fat foods have more sodium than regular foods too. I am still learning. I do have many, many allergies but this one was hard to run down. Another doctor mentioned that potassium salt is different than sodium salt. I now bake my own bread and have used the potassium salt, so far, so good but I still reduce the amount called for in the recipes. I can tel within a an hour if I've eaten something with too much salt.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
