I had vision loss 3 years ago in my right eye, lower nasal quadrant, for the most part and it was diagnosed as ischemic Optic neuropathy. I developed a sense of anxiety at that time or soon after. I went to Iraq for a year with the army and returned to find vision loss in left eye as well (I suspected while I was there) almost identical as right. My anxiety is far worse, I tremble all the time, I am on sertaline that helps my edginess but not the trembles and other issues. The VA said that I am not entitled to any compensation from the anxiety because the ischemic Optic neuropathy did not cause it. I would like to know is there any documentation showing any link of ischemic Optic neuropathy causing an anxiety disorder?
