I have 4 children I know all children develop at their own pace but I think that there is something wrong with my baby. My oldest child has been having problems since he was about 1 1/2 he was diagnosed as developementally delayed and has a speech inpairment. My two girls which are the 2nd and 3rd oldest seemes to develop just fine now I have a fourth child he turned he will be 13months in a little over a week. I am noticing slow development with him he is not talking the only word that he repeats almost constantly is mamama he cries constantly and half the time for no reason he barely started walking but still falls all the time I am not able to get him off of the bottle if I do not give him his bottle he will scream for hours he still has not developed a regular sleep pattern he still sleeps like a small infant sleeps for a couple hours at a time. He does strange things like move a pile of movies into one spot then put them back. He throws temper tantrums throws his head backwards onto the floor if he does not get what he wants he throws these tantrums and screams at the top pf his lungs. He seems to be bright but he also seems to be slow he can shake his head no or nod yes if he sees someone else do it but when he is told yes or no he doesn't seem to understand or he just isn't listening. Sometimes he completely ignores when someone is talking to him. He is very aggressive with hitting and kicking. I just don't feel this is normal for a 13month old and the doctors around here think that it is normal child development if they aren't speaking at 1 1/2 I had to push to get my oldest son into a program that would help him I am stuck on what to do with my youngest. PLEASE HELP!!!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
