Today I got my lab results back from a cbc to check for anemia. My doctor told me that I have iron defecient anemia. He told me the 2 numbers to look at when looking for iron defecient anemia which is the MCV and RBW. My MCV is 72 and my RBW is 16.9. According to the lab report the MCV should be 79-97, and the RBW 12.3-15.4. So my MCV is low and my RBW is a little high. So my question is how iron defecient am I?
