hello this is my first post here and I hope that it is in the correct place, if not I am sorry :) My husband had a hernia operation back in august of this year. The surgery was a incision cut , sorry not good with terms or words. He had a very difficult time after surgery with vomiting so was kept overnight. He returned back to work 2 weeks later but was still in a lot of pain. He hasnt been able to wear his normal clothes and wears jogging pants as the pain is to severe when wearing jeans. The pain has not gone away still and he suffers everyday from it. The incison pain isnt as bad but the pain in his right testicle and his right upper thign is really severe still. He has also become very depressed and when I say very I do mean very , He is confused and so sad all the time. I have watched a very strong man drop to a weak man within this time and it is so sad to see. We are still honeymooners so to lose him to depression and pain is so sad. He now doesnt know what he wants because he isnt thinking straight. :( He has no sex drive what so ever and no interest at all. He says it hurts to much and he doesnt care about anything right now. He is 43 years old and has always been so loving and caring and now he is cold as ice in every way and all of this came after this surgery :( .Last night I touched him for the first time since the surgery, he let me but was so very nervous.. when he got to the point of ........ he cried out in pain :( ... I feel so horrible , but I thought if I touched him then he would remember the love that we share and maybe he would come back to me . My questions are ... Is this normal to still have severe pain ? Is depression normal ? Do I have hope that he will come around soon and be the man that I married? Please helpthankyouJacama
