hi,
im a 23 yr old female diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis few years back...
synovectomy was done on my left knee after i spent months unable to walk due to severe joint pain and inflammation.
ive been considerably slim or rather thin all my life and have always had joint and bone pains since childhood with intolerance to cold...im from a tropical country..

however, before i was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis i never had appetite problems...infact i loved food and i had reasonably healthy diets..but i hardly ever gain weight and anyone who saw me thinks im on some kind of diet or i dont eat though thats completely the opposite of what happens...and if due to busy schedules i ever lessen what i eat, my weight loss is so rapid that it eventually sends me to bed...

anyhow, its been 4 yrs after the surgery and now im having a whoe new different kind of problem...in addition to the usual arthritis difficulties, ive been experiencing massive hairloss, terrible headaches, serious insomnia with bulging eyes, bad mood swings which often results in depsression, rapid heartbeat, breathlessness, severe back pain which makes it hard for me to sit straight up for more than 15 minutes without leaning, and above all my weightloss has gone from bad to worse that im too weak to do my daily stuff,...but nomatter how much i try to eat my bad appetite doesnt let me eat much and even if im starving i can hardly finish my food because i feel full right after taking a few spoons...

im a medical student in my third year living in a cold country...and these symptoms bother me more now as i learn more..these things are making it difficult for me to study as well..most my life ive been a number one bright student untill i cameup with RA...past few years ive had difficulty in keeping stuff in my memory and people around me too have noticed that im having troubles with my shortterm memory....im no longer among the bright students in my class and it also bothers me...

i would be glad to get opinions from other people regarding the symptoms ive written...though for me they point more towards grave's disease or hyperthyroidism, i dont have any symptoms of goiter or enlarged neck area...and im not sure if this is relevant or not but my mom was diagnosed with cancer right after she gave birth to me and passed away while being treated when i was just 3 yrs old...but other than that i dont have any family history of any other kind of disease or medical condtion...infact all my sisters and brothers are perfectly healthy...
so plss post your medical opinions here regarding my condtion
thanks
god bless us all
