I have recently been diagnosed with IBS. I have symptoms similar to gallbladder problems. Had an abdominal ultra sound and a hida scan. The hida scan showed that the gallbladder is functioning. Over the weekend I ate some buttered popcorn which caused extreme stomach problems. Painful gas, bloating, and chest pain. GI had me go to the emergency room and be tested to make sure I had not had a heart attack. Tested negative for heart attack.
Has anyone else had a hida scan show gallbladder function to be fine and still needed to have their gallbladder out?
