In September 2009 I injured my left shoulder, arm and neck when I tried to grab a heavy object that was falling toward my feet.
I was instantly in pain, I felt like I had broken my collarbone again. My left arm went numb and my left hand started to swell. My fingernails began to turn blue. I had to drive 2 and a half hours to get home. By the time I got home I knew that something was seriously wrong.
Since that time my left arm is weak, I also suffer from constant numbness in my left arm at the inner side of my elbow and the pinky and ring finger as well. I also have pain in my neck and shoulder constantly and occasional pain in my left elbow.
The doctors have told me that I have a stretching injury. I have been told that I have cubital tunnel, rotator cuff syndrome, 3 herniated discs. I have had MRI's of the neck and shoulder. I have avoided surgery so far. I have been taking physical therapy to keep myself flexible and to try to regain my strength.
This has been so difficult for me. I am a very active woman. I am used to using a chain saw to cut firewood, mowing my own grass, carrying my own groceries etc,
