I hope someone can give me some advice on to why I am feeling so awful lately. I wake up at least 3 times a night absolutely soaked in sweat .. but freezing cold at the same time.. I am a fairly healthy person to begin with. Average to athletic build and try to eat and excersise regularly. I have 2 children and am 26 years old. I do have a fairly stressfull life but make sure to enjoy all the little special things in life to smile every day. The other thing that is really starting to concern me is that I am totally covered in bruises, and am feeling so tired all the time. I can't explain even 10% of the bruises that are covering me. I really dont think that this is all that bad but I am getting bothered by these symptoms... I don't know if I am ready to seek medical advice in fear of looking like a hypocondriact or maybe finding a bad problem.... ANY ADVICE?? ANYONE???

  • I used to get tons of bruises all the time a couple of years ago. I had an adrenal gland tumor that is what was causing the bruising on me. Look into it.

  • You are too young to be going through hormonal changes that can cause night sweats, but you never know. Cardiac problems can also cause sweating. In any case you should see a doctor even if you are scared of bad news. Think of this: If if is nothing serious, you are going to relax about the issue and not let it bother you anymore. If it is a serious issue, you make it harder to treat every day that you let go by! Act now for your and your family's sake.good luck!

  • You should go to your doctor and ask for blood tests. Leukemia has symtoms that are consistent with what you describe. Wishing you well.

  • i know the feeling of being afraid of seeming like a hpyochondriac. but all you need to do is see a psychologist or psychiatris because it seems like someothing psychological forsure. our dreams are all of our subconscious thoughts, fears, desires, etc..i have the ame issue of waking in a cold sweat due to some of my psychological issues. it could be nightmares or night terrors. it doesnt seem like a huge problem. the bruising and fatigue seems like you may be anemic. see you physician. and give let them know whats going on
