I am only 18. I am scared that i am going to die. I have chest pains, racing heart, i am dizzy all the time my vision is not very good, i cannot do anything without wearing sunglasses. i had a brest augmentation 4 months ago, im worried that something has gone wrong despite my surgeons check ups and telling me everything is fine. My gp has done blood tests, head scans, xrays and there is aparently nothing physically wrong. My doctor thinks it anxiety & panic. if this is all in my head why can i feel it- physically? are there other people going through this? I have lost my job, my friends, my life. im scared. im so scared i hardly leave the house. no one understands so no one can comfort me! i want to feel normal again.

  • As a person who has suffered from panic attacks and anxiety, I can relate to all of your symptoms. I'd be interested in talking with you in more detail about your recent surgery and all the symptoms you have gone through since. If you are indeed suffering from anxiety, the effects can certainly show themselves in physical ways. I'm 23 and was in the hospital over a year ago for a severe blood clot in my leg and I almost lost my life. It can be extremely scary to be young like us and experience medical problems that are frequently only seen in older people. Feel free to email me to chat about this. individualbecca at hotmail dot com. Hang in there, girl! ~Becca

  • [I think you have a severe case of anxiety. You need to see a good counselor, as well as a minister or Priest. All will be well. I know you shall be OK. gk

  • This sounds very much like anxiety/panic attacks. Sometimes we have to seek out help for these things in ways that seem extreme; medication, therapy, and even hospitalization. Don't give up. Search extensively for the right help for you, it is out there. A good therapist/counselor/pastor can hlep immensely too. I still struggle with many issues involving stress and anxiety. I have been dealign with this for years. It seems that anxiety rears its ugly head sometimes out of the blue and we don't know where it came from. The important thing is that you seek help, immediately, It can quickly escalate to feelings of hopelessness and severe depression, even suicidal thoughts. Believe me, I have been there. You are your own best advocate. Get out there and seek help wherever you can find it. It is there and waiting for you! Don't lose hope, remember you are not alone!!!!
