Hi there i would really appreciate any advice or information on the following symtoms i have.

I woke up 5 weeks ago screaming with pain out both my lungs, and in my mid back right on the spine and around my ribcage, i went to my doctor who told me it was my muscels, which i didnt believe as i dont notthing heavy to hurt them, anyway after a few days the pain started shooting across my chest and down my left arm, i rang my doctor and he told me to go to the hospital, also i might add i also have iron defiencey for about 2 months now, anyway in the hospital they done an ECG, chest xray and told me everything was clear and that it might be artiritis and sent me home, i was not happy so went to the phyioteripist who said he didnt like the sound of my symtoms and said he could do no more for me but said it sounded like dural impingment?, when i bend forward or put my neck down i get a shooting pain up my spine and out to both shoulder blades.

The pain in my lungs have gone but the pain is still in my spine when i put my neck down it shoots up to the top of my spine and around my neck, all the muscels in my whole body are sore also getting headaches, feeling totally tired and have no energy. I then decided to go to a chiropractor who said my whole pelvic is twisted and that my spine is turning with it she done a scan on my spine which showed severe muscel spasms in my upper back and neck, at the same time i went back to my doctor who said he would sent me for an MRI but i cant get an appointment until july....... Anyway the chiropractor has discovered that i have very sensitive muscels and she doesnt know why, she done some work on my muscels now for 4 weeks and im still getting no relief everytime she does treatment i feel like i have been hit by a bus im so sore all over.

My doctor still has not checked my iron levels to see if they have come up. I have pain also out the back of my head.

I Had surgery for a brain tumour 6 years ago but they could not remove it as i would of lost my sight. Now i know the pain has notthing to do with this tumour as my symtoms then were different to the ones i have now.

I just want to know does it sound like the chiropractor is right as im only praying it is not a spinal tumour. Even if it is i have to wait until july to find out. I really think there is something the doctor is missing that is causes all my pain.

Im so sorry this is so long and that my spelling is not the best.
Thank you so much for any advice.

  • Thank you so much Blaze for your reply, that is very interesting never thought of this before, i always use a cordless and cell phone, yes when the doctors done the surgery and saw where the tumor was they decided not to remove it as they didnt want me to lose my sight and left it there but they took a biopsy and it was not malignant, the tumor is wraped around my optic nerve. But it hasnt caused me any trouble since, i went to the doctor today as i still was not happy and she found a lump in my neck, so she brought my MRI forward as an emergency.

  • The MRI is the best thing to find out what is going on. I'm glad you are getting it sooner. Don't let the doc put you off. When you are in that much pain, you move to the front of the line.
