I wondered of anyone has any info on this. For a while now I have been feeling as though there is something under my arm when I hold it down. It is as though something is holding it up a little. I have a mass on the left side of my ribs under my armpit and just across from my left breast. It is a little painful to the touch and sometimes I feel pain radiating from the area.

I would appreciate anything anyone could offer.

I do have a Drs appointment scheduled for March 15th. Tomorrow I am calling to see if they could fit me in to any cancellations.

Thanks

  • You do need to see a Dr. Could be just a benign cyst- they usually are- but you have to always check just in case.

  • Thank you I will have it checked.Did you ever find out what the mass was? I always have one in the same area that causes constant but dull pain for about four months now.

  • I had two, they were lipomas. I had them removed by a surgeon, it was covered by insurance since I had them for five years and they were in the area of my bra line. Not sure if yours is the same, mine wasn't painful.

  • I have the exact same thing. I went in for my yearly gynocologist exam on 3/17/11 and she felt it when she was doing a breast exam. She said that it would not be considered as part of my breast, but more so as part of my chest wall. She sent me straight to my doctors. He set me up for an immediate CT scan of my left chest area. Waiting to hear back from doctors hopefully Monday. But in the last 6 months have had fluid around my heart, frozen shoulder on my left side and bursitis on my left shoulder. So hoping this has something to do with all that. Still dealing with all that with physical therapy and meds. It's like a dull pain, but I can definetely feel it more when I touch in a certain spot.
