I got an arthroscopic knee surgery September 11, 2010. They opened it up, and realized there was nothing they could do , and closed it up again.
After 3 weeks, my right leg swelled up. Especially calf and ankle area. There was about a 2cm difference between the right and left leg.
We went to the doctor, and he said it was just fluid building up, because I haven't moved much since the surgery. The swelling went down over night, but came back, so they did an ultrasound to look for blood clogs, etc, but everything was fine. They said i needed to move more.
I started doing sports again, and the swelling didn't come back for a while. After about a month, it started hurting, and swelling up after i did sports, or walked a lot. Its still does.
They did x-rays, blood test, and a bone scan, but couldn't find anything.
What could the reason be for constant pain and swelling in lower leg ?
Please help, Thanks.
