Hi
I came in west Africa (Cote d'Ivoire) for some business many months ago. We had get together at my friend's place. I was heavily drunk on that night. What had happened it's as follow

>>> 1 Nov 2008 my friend arranged a unknown woman (So called she was not sex worker) but I don't know her for her any status
>>> I did oral sex with her (fingering and deep kissings ) and she **m out. and I leave her alone and don't want to go further. But she insisted/garbed me to room after 10-15 mins later. As I mentioned that I was heavily drunk I could not resist.
>>>>> I put condom and started penetrating but after few second when I pulled out she told me that my condom is broke, that time I was not ejected. that was the time I started feeling myself a dead person in the life. Now I'm continuous under heavy stress, I'm not paying any attention to my company's business and always feel sad.

>>>> I did my HIV test on 23 Nov 2008 with rapid test that was negative.

>>> 29 Nov 2008, My body is reacting differently. I got
1. very tiny itchy rashes on my neck and under my right armpit . Feeling Itching on most of the body parts but can not see any rashes.
2. fever like symptoms (whereas my temperature 36.6 c and BP is 75, 128, Pulse rate is 87/min) but I still feel my body hot like fever. Heartbeat is high.
3. Cough-but not continuous(I'm also a heavy smoker)
4. Dry mouth/tongue, One spot under beneath tongue near teeth.
5. Flu like symptoms ( when I get up early in the morning)
6. Continuous headache and neck/shoulder pain and backache.

Please note: I was skipping my break fast to reduce my weight from last four months. I was only using one cup of tea without suger and milk with lemon.
Now my stress level is very very high because I'm going back home for some days leave after 7 months where I have family. Please advise me what type of tests I should go through. and what should I have to avoid during sex with my wife these days.

  • You'll need to see a doctor right away and get another test in a couple of weeks.--and then another. You would be highly contagious now if you have it, so you do need to avoid sexual contact with your wife. Tell her you're impotent or something and need to see a doctor for it; just don't shower with her, etc...you may eventually have to tell her, of course, if you do test positive. You may even want to be honest and tell her your situation and let her decide how she is going to handle it.

  • I suppose syphilis but probably nerves. Just keep repeating the HIV test. You tested negative once. You could have picked up scabies on your skin. Do a google search for it. Please do not have sex with your wife until you are certain you have no hiv. You would be at your highest level of passing it on. We all have laspes in judgement from time to time. I think you have more guilty conscious for your actions more than anything. When you test clean for sure, be the best husband to your wife that you can be.

  • I did lab test for ELISA HIV and found it negative. Now I get some relief and feel shame for what I did. Please advise me more I'm constantly avoiding sex. I can't hide longer enough if I'll continue avoiding. What about protect sex? Further to this protection, is there any threat in case of deep kiss (we both don't have any blood wound)? I discussed with Dr., he advised I have more guilty feelings what had I done? there is nothing like I was suspecting. But I want to continue my testing till I'll be sure that I have nothing. Is it possible If a person having HIV + and couldn't be detected for many months/years through continuous (6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year etc) lab testing ?

  • I would like to ask what is the accuracy rate at 5 weeks of HIV test performed on “architect Ci8200" Chemiluminescence technology patented as CHEMIFLEX. I 'm already on follow up at/after 9 weeks third test. Why am I asking this question? After 8 weeks and half I got loose stools for only last longer two days my digestive system is not functioning well from last three to four days (stomach is heating) and some pimple on my back with itching and some pain/irritation in my throat. May be all this due to my food habits prepared with lot of oil and spices. Or may be due to anxiety. I could not figure our what is going on with my body.

  • Hi Mat, I'm now in new situation, as I mentioned in first post I was on leave and went back to my country. I waited for my HIV status till 9 weeks that was Neg. After this negative test, as it is conculsive, I did unprotected sex with my wife who delivered a baby one month and 10 days ago of this exposure. Possible exposure date is (14th Jan 2009). I inserted for 1-2 mins in/out shorts but later on I pulled out and used condom for ejaculation. Now she is facing some problem from 5-6 days of 1. Mild fever (at night with sever shivering)2. Vomiting 3. Headache4. Pain in stomach5. Fatige I know test is the only way that anyone could know about his/her status. Could it be the HIV symptom that is mentioned above? One thing now i'm worring about what desease I brought with me for her. How much she is on risk. Even after my 9 weeks of antibody/antigen 4th generation test that is negative from well known lab. I have no pre-existing immune disorders such as chemotherapy patients or recent organ transplant.

  • Dear Friend, a 9 week negative is a negative. HIV does not easily transmit from females to males in the way you describe it. Even is she was infected and you had intercourse without using a condom, chances for infections are small. A 12 week negative is what they used to call a definite many years ago, now with new testing methods they say 6 weeks is a 90% definite. Chances you are infected with HIV is very very small, stop worrying about it and have another test when 12 weeks has passed. Your symptoms does not count for anything, I would actually say they speak for the opposite. Most infected people do not experience symptoms so shortly after infection. I would make sure I tested for Hepatitis C with your last and definit HIV test, a more worrying and relevant test, now that you have tested negativ after 9 weeks. Take care now. Martin

  • this has happened many times in my sexual career. I am a 31yr old male in good health, but i can understand exactly what you are going through, I'm just gonna give u a brief story that happened to me and see if it helps. One time after having sex all day and all night. The condom broke a couple of times. Needless to say i was ****ting myself the next couple of days and weeks. I started to notice rashes at all diff spots on my body. Went to see numerous specialists and they had no diagnosis for me. What i'm trying to say is that there was absolutely nothing wrong with me. You see it all starts in your head, from there the body goes into a kind of shock with all the anxiety and everything else. It was my mind that was producing these symptoms. Try and calm yourself down and see what happens. Please write me back, i could be wrong, hope things get better buddy

  • How much accurate of 9 week Test antibody/antigen 4th generation test that is negativeMate, you need to get down to some real facts on testing. 4th generation HIV test such as HIV DUO detects for p24 antigent and antibody. Negative result is conclusive at 4 weeks. Stop reading about crap* on the internet and what other people post here. Get professional advice from professional people. I work for NHS GUM.
