hypoxia, just diagnosed tracheomalacia

my son with down's syndrome,gerd,sleep apnea,chronic hypoxia...just diagnosed with a slight tracheomalacia....still suffers severe hypoxia with every cold that comes through during the viral season...spends numerous hospital and picu stays...plus constantly oxygen dependent at home and pulseox monitoring required....any other parents out there experiencing this?? my son is now four and was full term..
