Other than urinary reflux as a child, which was corrected surgically, I have always been a healthy person. After the a complicated recovery from the birth of my son, my health went downhill. I passed out on 4 different occasions. I started getting visual disturbances like there was a glare on everything. I had a dull headache everyday. I lactated for 1 year after my son was born. I started having pelvic pain and abnormal bleeding and discharge. I was then diagnosed with endometriosis and ovarian cysts after seeing 3 different OB/GYNs. They also said that it looked like I have irritable bowel syndrome. Then I started having extreme fatigue and muscle pain, joint pain and stiffness. I then was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Then I started having problems with severe wrist pain which was later diagnosed as hypermobility syndrome. I also developed allergies during this time (most notably post nasal congestion). What is wrong with me? There are times where I have a really hard time believing that these things are not connected somehow. I was nearly perfectly healthy before the birth of my son and now I feel horrible. I have seen family doctors, nurse practitioners, orthopedists, OB/GYNs and they don't seem to think these are connected. I have more symptoms too but the above are the ones that jumped out the most at the moment. Could I be a hypocondriac? Can a hypocondriac feel symptoms?

  • Dull headache....fibro. Pain in wrist could also be carpel tunnel. Pain all over...fatigue...stiffness...irritable bowel, visual disturbances, sinus conditions are all fibromyalgia related. Sux yes, the allergies have gotten worse over the years, with me, I am constantly blowing my nose with my sinus discharge running down into my throat...this happens all the time. All the symptoms U describe I have and I know I have Fibro. the above are the ones that jumped out the most at the moment. Could I be a hypocondriac? Can a hypocondriac feel symptoms? You aren't a hypocondriac @ all! There is alot of information on the web about Fibromyalgia, its a rough disorder/syndrome to have. Ya need to talk, email me @ semi_alert@hotmail.com As EvErCat
