 Two weeks ago my partner developed a very painful swelling on the top/outer/upper part of his ear, after taking antibiotics for two weeks for what the doctors thought was a cyst he was refered to the local ENT unit.He had it lanced and drained, what came out of it was, what looked like urine, with the same kind of consistency. The doctors said they had not seen anything like it before and would send the sample to the path lab.No foreign body was found within the lump. The specialist told him that if he hadnt have gone to see them, the cartlidge could have died through lack of blood to it. He was asked to return three days later for the results. This was monday the 6th november, the results werent back. Anyway after seeing two doctors he saw a third who said he had probably been scratched by a thorn at work (he's a gardener) and to go back in two weeks. The lump has now filled back up and is going blue and is still very painful, I dont know what to do next. He has been told to return to the ENT in two weeks. Any help or advise would be gratefully recieved.:confused:Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
