I have had single and double sided hip joint pain on and off for 9 years. Sometimes mild sometimes bad. Sometimes it resolves completely or just lingers in the background. Has woke me at night but I have never had time off work with it. Have had xrays inthe past (normal) and last year MRI sacral lumbar spine which showed mild disc wear n tear. This week though I developed severe hip, groin and knee pain. I was in agony, couldnt pick my left leg up to walk etc I was crying withthe pain My doctor did a houise call and sent me to casualty. Another x ray looked ok but my CRP was raised to 59. The pain improved with valium, codeine ane anti inflamatories. I was kept overnight. What can be wrong with me?
