I've been seeing a doctor about a recent change in my blood pressure. It has always been normal and suddenly, at my last check up, it was around 160/100. It has been around there for about a month. I'm 22 years old, 125 lbs and I am a very healthy vegetarian. All of my tests have come up negative so far. She has tested my liver, kidney, and thyroid function and all were normal. I've has an ultrasound of my kidney and that was normal. I'm on a progesterone birth control pill so it isn't estrogen that's causing it. I was on a blood pressure medication, HCTZ, but it made my potassium dangerously low so my doctor told me to stop taking it. Any ideas what it could be?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
