Hello.. I was wondering if any one knows of this.. why it has happened and what causes it? Also, how to fix it??:(
I woke up 2 days ago..(saturday) and my whole hand was numb.
I figured I slept on it wrong so I kinda let it dangle most of the day kept flexing it and such.. and I believe some of the numbness went away.. I could make a fist it just felt weird.
The next day, sunday I woke up and half of my hand was numb..( the last two fingers.. plus very weak to circle thumb and forefinger (the symbol for ok)..
Well I had to work sunday ( I work a very physical job) but the strength kept failing on that hand so I tried not to rely on it.
I woke up this morning ( monday) to find my hand was even weaker... but the numbness pretty much in the same area.. last 2 fingers and 1/2 of my hand.. plus my forearm... but only half of it..
Now when I try to make a fist it does not feel strong.. cannot get a good grip and my pinkie finger sticks out..( the last knuckle does not bend).. and when i hold that hand at rest...its like .. ( for lack of a better description ..kind of curls up like someone who has cp)..
What is this?
Nerve damage ? Carpal tunnel? Diabetis? Gout? So many suggestions/ diagnoses....
Will it get better? I use my hands all the time at my job..
Is there a chance of the same thing happening to my other hand??
HELP! What can I do? Heat..?? Cold??? Prescription drugs??
Any suggestions/ ideas would be greatly appreciated.
