I am a 41 year old female.. I have been having joint problems with my knees off and on for about 7 years... in the last year it has accelerated and now it is my knees.. ankles.. feet.. I recently had my ankles.. yes both ankles swollen for 4 months ... i have symptoms of lupus.. and in fact my GP thinks that is what it is.. rash on the face comes and goes.. fever... i have some breathing problems.. an irregular heart beat.. mouth ulcers.. basically it stinks to be me on some days... however they can't get the blood work to come back with a positive ana..? so i have gone now to a rheumie and he did some other tests.. gout.. and something else.. you know how forthcoming they are in their explainations of what they are doing.. he is sending me to a dermatologist the 14th... he mentioned psoriatic arthritis.. i am frustrated.. i hate taking this stupid med.. i just want an answer and am at my witts end... :confused: my sister n law insists it is MS.. which i don't think.. i am having bladder problems now.. feeling like i need to go ALL the time.. don't know if it is related.. i don't really have any confidence in doctors right now... anyone have any words of wisdom.. i had an episode last friday and it took all weekend to get the ability to get around again back.. my right knee and foot were hurting soooooooooooo bad.. this while taking methotrexate and plaquenyl... i had to take pain med that day which i hate to take.. are they missing something? am i?
