Hello,
I have been dealing with this problem now off and on for most of this year.
It started with a wasp bite last year {2005} the site never really healed properly {on my right shin bone just above my ankle} today it looks like a dime sized black dead area of skin. That took months to heal, if you call it that. Then this year {2006} around May, I was bite again by a wasp on my 2nd toe {next to my big toe} on my left foot. It swelled and my foot itched alot, then a few days later it developed a rash of hard red bumps all over my feet {both} more on the left tops and bottoms. At this time I had no health insurance so I treated the rash with lotrimin Ultr for 6 weeks and it finally went away. Then in October {this year} I went and had a root canal done and was shot up with novacaine in areas of the roof of my mouth. 2 days after this the spots that I had gotten the shots did the same thing as my first wasp bite, the skin became irrateated and finally dead looking and peeling off, very painful. Then about a week after that my feet started with the red hard bumps and swelling, itching, peeling and oozzing yellow fluid from large cracks that started to form. Its been since Oct. and it is not getting any better, now I am experiencing a rash similar to my feet on my hands, mostly the palms and a botchy rash on my foreams that goes around my elbows {this does not itch} and just a few days ago I started with a rash of little red bumps all over my back {which does not itch} there is no perticular pattern of bumps, just everywhere.
My doctor does not know what it is and referred me to a dermatologist, but I am asking for any help because I could not get an appointment for months to a derm. I called every doc. in my insurances handbook {healthkeepers} and got the same answer from every office. So if anyone can help I'd appreciate it. I am male, age 42, in good general health with no other health problems.
