I am an eighteen year old male currently medicated with respridone. I have always had sensitive hearing in both ears. I cannot use headphones or earphones on any volume playing anything without my ears experiencing pain after one or two minutes. It is apparent to me and those around me that I can hear ambient and distant noises more clearly than they can, yet often times this notion is challenged by the contrasting observation of equally perceptive detection of these noises as those people. I often ask others to repeat themselves because they did not speak clearly enough for me to comprehend what they said. However, I do have a thought disorder (hence respridone); I'm thinking of a very large number of things at once. I believe that may explain why I can't comprehend others at times, for even in my highest level of concentration I'm still thinking like that. My fear, which may be irrational, is of hearing loss. My problem is that I long very much so to lisen to music on headphones. I want to see an ENT in person, but for now, I would very much appreciate input.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
