Four years ago...

Doctor's have tried numerous medication, physical therapy, aqua therapy, TENS unit, epidural injections, ice, ice, heat and constant stretches. Nothing helps.I continue to have a pains and spasms throughout my spine, neck to hips. I'm 36 and feel 80. Diagnosis Chronic Cervical, Lumbar spine sprain, disk issue @ L4-L5 S1 20% protrusion into spinal canal, cyst @ T11, muscle gaurding throughout spine, loss of range of motion. What can I do to get my life back??

  • Have ou been to a good chiropractor? Maybe your coccyx was misaligned when you fell. Have you tried sitting on a "doughnut" shaped pillow, to protect your tailbone? And the cyst...does it push on the spinal cord? I guess you have had an MRI to find out. Hope this helps. Marionstar

Marionstar I have tried a chiropractor, and he did offer me some relief, I also had some massage therapy as well. Even though I was getting some relief, My workmans comp refused to pay for any more visits to either.I had an MRI on cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar Spine. Results were disk protrusion at L4-L5 S1 to the left of the midline occupying 20% of spinal canal. Cyst at T11 in 2007 raised concerns about bone collapsing because of weakness of bone. I haven't tried a pillow, but sitting Indian style helps allot! Time heals all..?? Thank You Becca318

Thank You Beca318 Depending where you live, wc may cover acupuncture. Especially if you get your doctor to refer for treatments. Unfortunately Medicare won't cover this yet (we've been trying to get this coverage for years maybe 09 will see this finally being covered). Best wishesDOM
