Frozen down the middle of the head

I wonder if anyone can make sense of this as no doctor has...

It feels like the middle of the head right through the brain is frozen tight. Very occasionaly it relaxes, dissolves, and it feels like liquid is running down inside the brain. Occasioanly there are cracking and clicking sounds inside the skull if this area loosens up too. I feel a lot of pressure in the skull. I had an MRI which showed nothing apparently. The neurologist said it was stress but I´m sure there´s some chemical/ biological issue here.

My head feels like it´s in a constant vice and I feel disconnected from my surroundings

It´s very uncomfortable, and extends to the nervous system throughout the body that often feels frozen. I expereince a lot of anxiety but feel like the epicentre is the head/ brain.

Any thoughts or clues on what this might be most welcome.
