I have had chronic pain for 2 years. after multiple tests and no real diagnosis my dr. told me I had fibromyalgia which he called a "left over" disease...basically saying he could not figure it out so he told me something to shut me up. I have been on Lyrica and only gained 30 pounds but no relief at all from the pain. I am now on cymbalta and neurontin with a new doctor and I feel like I should just check myself into a mental hospital because these are offering no relief at all ! I have felt like I am crazy for so long because these peolpe who are supposed to tell me whats wrong don't want to listen and I am now having a hard time making it through a whole day of work and I have three children I feel like I am neglecting because I am either in horrific pain or way too tired to do anything ! Has anyone else been through anything like this ? I thought switching doctors would be the answer but he doesn't seem to believe the pain is as bad as it truly is ! I am soooo frustrated and don't want to keep living my life like this because it is no life for me or my family......Please help ! Also anyone diagnosed with Hoshimotos disease ?

  • Hi,See my thread Chronic Peripheral Neuropathy in this forum.I suspect you may have human-to-human rabies.Fibromyalgia and Chronic fatigue are so common, yet theetiologic agent (cause) is unidentified. It is irresponsible, or perhaps responsible, to not causealarm by alerting the population to this danger?Fountain_spray
