So I went to the doctor about a year ago for antibiotics because i was sick, when he noticed these black and blues on my legs, they just appear dont hurt, I didnt bang it I told him. Being curious he decided to send me to the hematologist where they put me through a series of Factor, thromboin, protime tests. Results- Factor V deficient. A rare disorder only 150 cases reported since 1943. Doctor asked about bleeding history- What bleeding history I never had one! In conclusion I am going for an inhibator factor v test now and will see results from there. Anybody have this problem? I would like to talk, to be more knowledgeable on this.

  • Hi, I was diagnosed with Factor V when I was 18, I am now 23. I had a seizure, stroke and coma when I was five. They said it was due to a blood clot. I do not know that much about Factor V and am trying to learn more about it. If you have any information please let me know. I hope everything has turned out well for you. Thank you. Rachael R.
