My daughter is a 3rd child. Her older brother and sister are perfectly 'normal' and we've never had any problems with them.
Since the day she was born she has only ever slept 2-3 hours a night and never during the day. We were told she would grow out of it. Now aged 9 she still doesn't sleep, won't stay in a room on her own, has multiple unusual phobias, suffers from anxiety, picks at her skin all the time and seems to have a hightened sense of hearing - she can't stand it if she is sitting right in front of the tv and someone over the other side of the room is eating - even though no-one else can hear it! She is bad tempered and very demanding. Recently she has become very touch sensitive and won't wear clothes with tags or labels on, long sleeves and (worryingly) panties as she says they feel 'restricting'. She needs a strict routine or she goes to pieces. She is not a shy child and is very outgoing, she is very mature for her age, above average height and is in the top set in school. She loves singing and dancing but won't stick with any clubs - we've tried dance classes, singing lessons, everything she wants to try but she never goes for more than a few weeks. She has to have turkey sandwiches for her lunch everyday and goes beserk if we try to change it. She has got friends but she's always falling out with them as they say she is bossy. Doctors can't seem to put their finger on whats wrong and the tension between the rest of the family is unbearable. Any ideas?
