 I need to know what causes ear ringing? I have a tooth infection. Im on antibotics. Is a ringing ear dangerous? Ive had numberous blood test run, chest x rays, urine test all came back normal. I have this ear ringing for about a week now. Is there anything i can do now? Karen:mad:

  • This same thing happened to me when I was about 9 years old. I yawned loudly and my ears started ringing. I have told doctors and nothing was found. It drove me crazy for a couple weeks and then I guess I just got used to it, because it has been about 32 years now since it has happened and I notice it every so often but I hear just fine. Doctors weren't too concerned and I was fine once I got used to it. Good Luck!!

  • I know that too much salt in the diet can cause ear ringing, which I guess is related to higher blood pressue from salt intake.

  • Have you been checked for Tinnitus? This and TMJ are common causes of ringing in the ears.I've seen both conditions treated quickly and efficiently without drugs or side effects.Ryan

  • Are you thinking of the mouthguard? No, not a mouth guard. LILT (low intensity laser therapy) will treat the problem directly. It's just a small pad that has an array of diodes that's placed over the TM joint and a laser probe used around the problem area. There's no side effects and people with TMJ or tinnitus find lasting relief comes fairly quickly after a few treatments.Ryan

  • It is an indication of a serious allergic reaction. See a doctor right away, unregistered. You may have an allergy. Is it a sulfa drug? Septratrimeth? or something similarly based? find out as truly, you may be allergic to it.
