Disappearing Lesions Anyone?

I was diagnosed with MS six years ago and tried Rebif and Avonex but could not tolerate the side effects. Had a baby a year ago (c-section) and since then have experienced foot drop and weakness in my left hip. Steroid treatment helped but only when on the steroids, as soon as I am off, the weakness returns. I have had several MRI's which have shown that lesions I had 6 years ago and even 6 months ago in my spine and brain have disappeared.... The new neuro I go to says this does not happen in MS. Also, I have very minor or mild lesions in the brain (which MS patients usually have a lot of). This neuro thinks that perhaps I do not have MS but a genetic condition or some other worse condition?!

Has anyone had similar symptoms or issues? Please help!
