For some time now have had deep groin pain....right in the inside bend of my leg. Comes and goes over periods of time. Guess would say it more like a deep throb rather than a shooting type pain though. Hx of infected sebaceous cyst on that side that needs to be removed but haven't had that done yet. Could this be related? I do know that one time when the cyst was inlammed and draining the lympth node near it was swollen but I can't remember having the groin throbbing.
One doctor I mentioned this too just said oh its probably the groin muscle you have pulled at some time. Any thoughts on this?

  • Maybe the cyst is pressing on the nerves in that area. Have you been checked for a hernia there?

  • I do have a bad disc in my back and had therapy to relieve pain down into my leg couple years ago. I just always think of hernias though as more in the abdominal front...above the leg ...my pain is more where the leg attaches to the body or that strong tendon you can feel toward the inside where it attaches to the leg....If ever find out what it is will post it to let you all know but thanks for replies and suggestions.
