Hello i am a mother of a beautiful 5 year old girl. But i was wondering if anyone her ecan help me? My daughter is almost 6 and weighs 32 lbs. She is the smallest one in her class. She is constantly complaining about having a belly ache and just today i noticed she had white or clay colored stool. (because she never flushed). Can anyone tell me if I should be concerned about this? And Wha ti can do because i cannot get her to the doctors till the 24th. I live in a small town.
Thanx Angela

  • I took these from the Internet:Stools that are pale, or clay- or putty-colored may result from problems in the biliary system (the drainage system of the gallbladder, liver, and pancreas). The liver releases bile salts into the stool, giving it a normal brown color. You may have clay-colored stools if you have a liver infection or if the flow of bile out of the liver is blocked.A stool that appears clay in color is often seen in cases of mal-absorption, hepatitis, or gallbladder disorders. Hepatitis and gallbladder disorders often interrupt the flow of bile out of the liver. This disruption will cause the clay color of the stool. Mal-absorption also disrupts the output of bile by increasing the amount of undigested fat in the stool. Bile is responsible for breaking down stool and making it brown in color. When the production is lowered the stool can appear clay in color. There may also be other reasons, but your daughter should be seen. Be sure to take your daughter to the doctor on the 24th. :)
