I am wondering if i should ask my dr if i could have MENS SYNDROME? this last month i was diagnosed with a adrenal adenoma i also had a pituitary tumor removed in 1997 it was a thyroid hormone producing tumor so i also was diagnosed with graves disease at same time the graves caused a very large goiter i was treated for this with radioactive iodine the treatment shrank the goiter completely and graves is gone but i now have hypothyroidism as a result. i have been researching mens and as i understand it parathyroid problems happen with this syndrome i have nver had my parathyroid glands checked and have not had any type of thyroid cancer but my biggest question is would the radioactive iodine destroyed my parathyroid glands when it shrank my thyroid gland?so that is why that piece of the puzzle is not evident?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
