My 10 year old son has had chronic stomach pain for years now. It has gotten worse this year. He goes to the bathroom often. When he feels the need to go he is in agonizing pain wih cramping. Once he goes he feels somewhat better. Most of the time it is loose. This happens several times a day! It's hard to take trips and is getting embarrasing for him at school. We have had upper & lower GI testing with everything turning out normal. Could this be IBS or something else? Who should we go to? The pediatrician says it's stress. If it is then we STILL need help. He is in pain all the time. He also has headaches often. This could be from sinus problems, but didn't want to leave it out. He's only 10. Please lead us in the right direction or any direction for that matter.

I suspect he has yeast growing in his intestines. That is why he has so much internal inflammation that comes and go.Make sure you don't feed him any sugar, wheat, or milk- as these organisms feed on it.If he had flu shots and such, the mercury in the vaccines are toxic enough to turn on the inflammatory mechanisms of the body. Also, antibiotics and pain killers might be to blame- they destroy the intestinal balance. Make sure you give him probiotic every day, with every meal. When one is sick of the intestines- one is sick of the immune system- so responses such as headaches are common signs of immune stress/ toxicity. If your doctor does not understand any of this, take him to an Alternative Medicine Specialists, a good one. Please don't fall for medications that only suppress conditions.

  • He did have a stool test done shortly before we did the upper and lower GI. Now what exactly they tested for I don't know. Your information has been very helpful. We are so frustrated and feel so badly for him and want to do something. I have heard about the probiotics before. I will get it today! As far as alternative med. What kind? We have researched any reflexologists in the area and have one that is a massage therapist. What about chiropractic? I am stretching, but I am willing to do the research and seek the help he needs. He is so young to have these problems and it is greatly starting to change his personality.Thank you, thank you, thank you for responding. It is incouraging to have someone offer advice!

I had to be told that all my sickness were caused by stress and unhappiness (yeah right) to become my own little medical investigator. It would be nice if you could find a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, like Herbs and Accupunture. Some of them specialize in digestive problems - They do not diagnose the sickness, but the patient. We are placed in hard situations. We are not told the truth about pain killers, cold medicine, vaccines, artificial ingredient in our foods, etc. Then we start having all these weird conditions with no explanation, and our life stops.Don't lose hope- Big Hug for you and your Child.Be Well.
