Since 2006, I have been suffering on and off with chronic pelvic pain/discomfort. My urologist diagnosed it as prostatitis(inflammation of the prostate), although based on multiple prostate exams and urinalysis', my prostate appears to be healthy. I have tried several antibiotics, and would help suppress my symptoms but would eventually return. After much research on my condition, I've learned that unfortunately, there is no cause or cure for this, and it just has to resolve on it's own. So at this point of time, I simply have to manage my symptoms.
Now if I may, let me go into detail with my symptoms. These are not all of the symptoms I have felt, but simply the main ones that I normally feel on a regular basis:
1. Sharp nerve-like sensations shooting at my testicles periodically throughout the day. It feels like a tazor gun is being tazed on my testes. A tingling sensation can last anywhere from 2-12 seconds.
2. A tight "queezy" feeling in the general groin area. This one is a little hard to explain exactly, because the feeling is more subtle, but it more of a dull feeling. It usually lasts only a couple seconds.
3. Fast pulsations (almost like throbbing) in the general groin area.
Again, I have experienced a wide range of other symptoms including a "gold ball" in the rectum feeling, vasocongestion (blue-balls) feeling, burning in the testes, and extreme tightness in the general groin area. Symptoms tend to wax and wane without a rhyme or reason.
I'm not looking for a quick cure for this since it does not exist (believe me I've looked) but I would just like to know if anyone else out there have or has had these similar symptoms and what has he done to manage/resolve these annoying symptoms.
