I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago, ever since I've had chronic pain in my right groin area. Tests have revealed nothing.:( I've seen different doctors and even they can't agree. I finally was accepted to see a pain management doctor; that only took 11 months.

Has anyone else experienced this?

  • It is very possible you are suffering from pelvic adhesions caused by the Hysterectomy. Adhesions do not show up on any x-ray or MRI and unfortunately the only way the doctor can know for sure is by performing either a laparoscopy or laparotomy which of course can cause more adhesions to develop. I have found that Myofascial Release Therapy has really helped me for the adhesion pain I suffered due to my hysterectomy. A good Physical Therapist or Licensed Massage Therapist can help you with pelvic pain. Good luck.
