Chronic Diarrhea

I've had chronic diarrhea for 2 years now and don't know what to do. Here's the history:
2 years ago on a hiking trip a got very sick - terrible fever for two days, low energy afterward, diarrhea, weight loss. Everything got better soon after except that the diarrhea remained. a few weeks later i was diagnosed with having a parasitic infection: blasto hominis. I took Flagyl for a week. During the antibiotics my stomach was ok but quickly after the antibiotics ended the diarrhea returned and blasto was still there. I subsequently took 10 days of flagyl with same results, then 10 days of cypro, same results, then a year later with the diarrhea still present I took 30 days of flagyl. same results. the blastocystis hominis was never eliminated.

I currently still have chronic diarrhea, 2-5 times a day (with ammonia smell) and bad gas, usually a few hours after eating.

The only time my stomach was good for a short while was when I stopped eating sugars for a long time and started eating lots of yogurt and probiotics. My bowels were back to perfect for a week or so, then back to the diarrhea. I'm trying to repeat the process but so far no effect.

It seems to me that eating fruit and sugars make my stomach worse so I'm avoiding those. I'm also currently trying no gluten and no dairy, but I haven't seen much change.

Anyone have a similar experience. Know anything that would help?
