I was diagnosed with cellulitis in my arm over a month ago. The first stretch of antibiotics didn't help. I'm now on my last pill of another antibiotic. My arm is still swollen, the bottom half of the arm is as hard as a rock, the same for the muscle in my arm.

I don't know if I was misdiagnosed and something else is really going on. I now want to get a second opinion. I can't find any specialists who specialize in this type of matter.:(

Has anyone else ever had this?

Any suggestions as to what I should do?

Thank you in advance.

  • I had a ultra sound done on my arm today, to rule out a blood clot. There wasn't any. I'm seeing my oncologist on Thursday. My primary dr. now seems to think the cellulitis has turned in to lymphedema.Hopefully they find something out, good or bad so I know what the heck is going on with my arm.:confused:sparklingone
