hey...i'm 18 years old female and i need help figuring out what is wrong with me. i hope someone can help!
i've had this pain in my right lower side of my abdomen/stomach area. if you take your finger and measure aprox. an inch below your belly button to the right thats where it is. when i was about 14 or so i went to the hospital thinking it was appendicitis (my mom is a nurse so thats what she expected it was). well after a lot of tests we figured out thats not what it was and nothing was found. well after that happened it went away for a bit and about 2 years later it started bothering me again. well this time we decided to get my right ovary checked out just to be sure it wasn't in my ovary. got an untrasound, nothing found.
well ever since, i've had a little pain but nothing too serious, but the last 3-4 weeks this pain has increased. i can't figure out what it is and no one will give me an answer. i have a doctors appointment later this week but how am i going to be sure that THEY'LL know what it is after all i've been through?
can someone PLEASE help me?

to describe the pain, at times it is a dull ache, but if i've been sitting down for a while and get up and walk around it really really bothers me. also it hurts if i'm laying down on my back, almost like im stretching. there have been times when it has even gotten sharp. i really hope someone can help.....any answers would be greatly appriciated.

  • This may sound crazy but do you use sea salt. I experienced something similar but on my left side... had surgery, ultrasound for the ovary, gall bladder test, sorry can't think of what else. If you talk to a doctor they don't believe me... I do have strange reactions to food... any way... I noticed after using the sea salt I bought that the symptons started and increased. sometimes a dull ache and then stabbing pains ... although I have fibromyalgia... this pain was different. I went to emergency and had to have surgery... but they didn't find anything... so not thinking I put sea salt in my eggs and later that afternoon and a sharp pain reaction the same location that sent me to emergency.. Needless to say I do not use sea salt and have never had that same reaction...

  • Sea salt can't never be harmful- it was probably the food you were eating. You can develop random food reactions when your immune system is dysfunctional.Regular salt that "when it rains it pours" is very toxic. For the original poster, what do you eat?

  • ummm well i dont eat too much sea salt....and as for the other thing you said i have no idea what that is lol. umm i pretty much eat whatever...i dont necessarily eat bad but i'm not a stricly salad kind of person. i am fairly small i weigh 120 about and i'm only 5'2'' so i know this can't be something weight related. i cannot figure out what it is. any more information on what you suggested it could be?
