8 yrs old had shot in school - 3 wks later could not walk lasted for a couple of weeks
13 yrs old broke leg - took 6 mos. to heal plus thrombophlebitis
14 yrs old broke leg again took 6 - 9 mos to heal
15 - 17 yrs of age had muscle problems - used crutches
24 yrs old - broke ankle and patella plus thrombosis then it all started
all over muscle spasms neck or arm or leg was put in leg braces
emg normal mri negative muscles slow to relax and symptoms subsided but with the use of meds - was diagnosed with paramyotonia congenita
fast forward to 49 - lost use of left arm and neck muscles stiffened causing head to move to shoulder and a change in my voice
49 1/2 found new neurologist and had an emg/ncs - results were "abnormal" and high muscle enzyme levels in bloodwork (which I have never had before) 2 mri's negative,
right after the emg started having a jerking movement in both hands
turned 50 last week and I am barely able to walk across the room - constant muscle spasms (in calves and back of thighs), cannot move right arm above my head (still no use of left arm), and now have a very hoarse voice. So far, I have no diagnosis just a wallet that is getting thinner. Has anyone had these symptoms or know what this is
