  • It is on both sides but it is not a constant shaking, nor is it very profound shaking. I would say that most people around me don't notice it.

  • Hmmm, i dont really promise to know anything...but my brother and father both have "the shakes" have for years, my brother is 40 no other health issues, i am 35 now and about 10 years ago i also experienced the same but something i am taking meds-wise has prob got that under control. My father was told it a Central Nervous System tremor that is genetic( why i asked if other family members have it)....he was told by his neurologist (told this really) either to take a beta-blocker, and that does work, because when i shook i was on enderol...(sp?) anyway that or a drink a day Dr Blue said....sh is/ was head of neurology of one of the Ft Worth hospitals.....on the other hand, my mother shakes bu only one hand....have no idea about hers....btw, mine sounded more like yours and it will still do it occasionally, but as time progresses by example of my brother and father it does get worse. So i am just telling you their stories, hope it will at least give you a lead, most likely it is some neuro synapse thing...anyway let me know if i can help at all...

  • Hi John,I replied on one of your other messages. I have your same symptoms, and a blood test came up positive for hyperthyroid. You should go and get a blood test. Since you work at the pharmacy, I'm betting you may be around people with viruses. Some viruses can cause an inflammation in the thyroid that can last, and cause problems for months. The blood tests you want are the TSH and to check T3 and T4 enzymes. If your TSH is low, and your T4 is high, you may have hyperthyroid, too. Take care, and go get checked out!
