Hi everyone.I`m 35 years woman and for about 4 years now I have realy bad calf pain in both legs 24/7.My legs look normal no rush or sweling and my calfs are not sore to tuch just like pain inside.I dont have any energy and i feel like 80 years old woman.Pain gets worse when doing up the stairs or bending. My legs are week and heavy. When i take pain pill and pain goes away my energy comes back.I`ve seen meny specialist (nurologist, cardiovascular surgeon ect) I`ve had mri,x-rays,ultrosound and everythink is normal.I`ve been on many medications but the only one that helps is hydrocodine.I have a feeling that my family doc think that there is nothink wrong with me and that I just want the pain meds.He told me that hes running out of ideas .Its that somethink that I`ll have to deal with for rest of my life?Is there any hope?

  • Sylvia, Ask for these simple blood tests if they haven't been done already: Vit D PotassiumPTHCalcium All of these are dependent on each other and can cause problems like you describe when one or more is off. You should also ask to have your thyroid checked, just in case... TSHFree T4Free T3Anti TPOAnti TG Hope you get to the bottom of your problem. Just to make you feel a bit better. I had the exact same problems. I couldn't even walk a block before my calfs felt like they were going to explode. It was caused by Vit D deficiency and elevated potassium levels. In my case caused by blood pressure medicine, but there are many reasons why this can happen. Hope this helps! Kiera

  • Take a hot bath with 3 pounds of epson's salt. Also, there is a product at health food stores, "Leg cramp", homeopathic...get some of that. It has homeopathic quinine. Get magnesium (like the powder fizz) at the health food store and have a glass of that before you retire..start with a little and work up, otherwise, it will give you diahreah. Worst case is a blood clot.

  • Experiment with your diet. Try cutting out coffee first. It's worked for me and others on this site.
