I was surfing in mexico 5 days ago when i fell from my board and slapped my ear extremely ******n the water! i couldnt hear anything, there was extreme pain and i was totally dissorientated. When i got home the pain had eased off but i was bleeding from the ear! i took myself to the local doctor and he informed me that i had burst the membrane in my ear.. the nurse washed my ear out with peroxide and water for a good few minutes and gave me a shot of peniciline.. They showed me in a tray from the cleaning some tissue that had broken off. Though it felt like i left the doctors with more pain than when i walked in.. the pain was excruciating all night and it blead and ouzed pus all night. I have been taking amoxil for an antibiotic.. for two days i returned to the doctor to have it cleaned, the bleeding was slow but constant until day 3.. today it is not bleeding but is still leeking puss.. It is still painful, there is a constant ringing in my ear and my ear feels partly blocked!! Im in mexico and cant fly anywhere to see a proper ear specialist.. will this get better? will the ringing go away? what should i do?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
