I have been experiencing a strong burning on swallowing. The pain is from my esophagus following down to outline my stomache. The pain seems to follow the outline of my stomache instead of in the middle. This can happen on just drinking. and it doesn't happen all the time. The pain and burning is so strong that it can drop me to my knees. Any suggestions will be helpful.

  • You have gastritis. (inflammationStop smoking and alcohol and eating any chilli. Excess of these 3 (esp alcohol) can bring on an attack but sometimes it just comes on.DO NOT I REPEAT NOT - take any ibuprofen or other nsaid pain relievers e.g. dicolfenac. These bring on or exacerbate your condition.Buy some gaviscon and use the max amount the label will allow.buy some omeprazole and take 40mg every day for 14 days.see your gp if you dont get better.
