For the past 4/5 months I have been having extreme fatique, right arm was hurting(feeling heavy), headaches. I went to my general physician and they did some blood work and a MRI only head. The MRI was normal but the blood work showed a elevated Ana. Sent me to a arthris specialist to check for lumpus, etc. All test came back normal. I had surgury 5/08 for a ruptured disk between 4/5 so I went back to the surgeon to make sure I did not hurt anything there, he did a cta on my head and neck, came back normal. After all that, I still have extreme fatique, right eye has blurred vision and my left arm hurts and had a burning feeling. Had a stress test came back normal but the doctor that did it said I had low blood pressure and was going to talk to my general phy and run some more test, this was on a Friday so I called back on Monday to follow up and I guess he forgot and said they were not doing any more test becuase the stress test was normal. I have an appr with a nuerogolist but if that turns up with nothing do you have any suggestions or thoughts. Tired of being tired. Mikki

  • Hi there - I have had 2 back surgeries on L4/5 due to ruptured discs. In first surgery they put Wallis Ligament in 2nd surgery they did titanium screws and cage. I had burning sensation in my left arm for about 4 months after surgery which is scary as I had the same burning sensations in my legs and I needed surgery on my backAs you know when you do the surgery it is impossible to turn yourself and if you do manage it to it is with extreme pain! I damaged the nerves in my left arm only due to the fact that I sleep on my left. In hospital I slept on my left which resulted in hours with FULL WEIGHT as you cannot turn yourself after surgery and had to wait for nurses. And then at home again my aids to help get out of bed was on the left side- the extreme amount of stress and use of this arm cause damage to the nerves. I too went to a nerve clinc which is good that your going to one. If you have been doing any of the above try to sleep on different side and conscious stop using the arm so much - my symptoms stopped on their own accord after 4 months. But during that time I had to use hot water bottle to give relief, pain killers and rubs like Ibulieve to give relief and ensuring I rested my arm on pillow to keep it level with body to take any additional stress off my arm. Hope this helps
