I recently posted a note about the nuva ring and pregnantcy symtoms and after I take my HPT tomorrow and if it is a negitive I was wondering if anyone could tell me about a good birth control they are on and won't give me pregnantcy horomones !! lol.

I have been on alot of birthcontrol.

The doctor put me on birth control after I had my son on June 2nd, 2005.

She first put me on the needle which I hated very much because it made me gain weight like crazy so I was only on that for the first 3 months.

I than switched to the pill which didn't work out for me either as I forgot to take it alot in the morning before going to school. So got off of that after being on it for like 2 years.

Than I switched to the IUD and that didn't work for me because I couldn't find the string and went threw alot of stress when the doctor told me that either it fell out or was inbeaded into my uturus. It didn't do either.. the doctor i went to wasn't my regular doctor and clearly didn't know what he was doing. My family doctor found it and I got it taken out because I was also having pregnantcy symtoms with it but was not pregnant.

Now I am on the NuvaRing and it isn't working out for me too well. I currently might be pregnant because im having alot of symtoms and I want to go off of it if my HPT says negitive.

I'm pretty sure the only birth control I havn't been on yet is the patch. Is anyone on this site on the patch ? and how is it ? what side affects come with it ? because I really don't want to be on the nuvaring anymore lol.

Or any other birth control anyone knows about that they like ? please lemme know.

Thank you.

  • I personally recommend the good ole fashioned diaphragm, as it is nonhormonal and quite effective. It's a pain to use but hormonal methods nearly always have side effects. Long term birth control use puts you at risk of chronic candida problems. Best wishesDOM
